Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe — in plain language.
What this policy covers
Social Signal is a social media agency and client-acquisition system for founder-led B2B coaches, consultants, and advisors. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or apply to work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the information you share through our application form and client onboarding.
Information you give us directly
When you fill out our application form or contact us, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, business name and website, your coaching or consulting niche, and anything you tell us about your goals and current marketing. If you become a client, we also collect what we need to do the work: your weekly interview recordings and transcripts, content drafts and your approvals, and the social media account access you grant us so we can publish approved content and manage engagement on your behalf.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: the pages you view, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and how you reached the site. We use this to understand which pages actually help visitors and to keep the site running well. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure site traffic in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some conveniences may not.
How we use your information
We use what we collect to respond to your application and contact requests, to deliver the services you hire us for, to send service updates and our own marketing (you can opt out of marketing at any time), to improve our site and services, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use your information for any purpose beyond these.
How your information is stored
Your information is stored securely in our private database on our cloud hosting platform — encrypted when stored and encrypted in transit. Access is limited to the Social Signal team members who need it to serve you, and nobody else. If you grant us access to your social accounts, those credentials are used only to publish content you have approved and to manage engagement as described in our terms of service. We never store payment card numbers on our own systems.
What we never do with your data
We never sell your personal information — not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone. We never share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate (for example, our hosting provider and our email service), and only under agreements that require them to protect it and use it solely for our account.
How long we keep it
We keep application and client records for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and tax obligations — typically up to three years after our last contact — then we delete or anonymize them. Interview recordings are kept for the duration of the engagement plus 90 days unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep something specific, in which case we will tell you what and why.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. To make a request, send us a message through the form on our apply page with the subject "privacy request," and we will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may contact your state attorney general or other applicable regulator.
Children's privacy
Our services are for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete such information promptly if we learn we have received it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a materially significant way, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. For routine clarifications, we will simply update the text below.
Last updated: September 30, 2026.
